Getting Organised

Your pre-holiday checklist

Here is a handy pre-holiday checklist of tasks which you may be completing during the weeks and months before your holiday.

Book Flights

If you haven't booked your flights already, we would recommend that you do so soon to get the best prices. The nearest airport is Chambery, but most people tend to opt for the more regular flights into Geneva, just over two hours from Meribel resort.

Arrange Airport Transfers

One you have booked your flights, the next step is to organise your transfers from the airport to Meribel and the warm welcome of Chalet La Chouette. Here are some of the most popular transfer providers in the Three Valleys area.

About Transfers

Book Ski Lessons

Meribel offers an ideal base for those wanting to progress their skiing, no matter what the level. There are plenty of ski schools to choose from, with pretty much all offering English-language lessons suitable for all ages and abilities.

Ski & Snowboard Hire

Meribel has plenty of great ski hire companies, and many of them now offer free delivery and fitting right here in the comfort of the chalet. Stock is usually very current and well maintained. Ask us how to get the best deals online.

Order your Liftpass

Let us know which liftpasses you would like for your group and we will order them for you and have them waiting for you when you arrive. There is no charge for this service. Liftpass prices vary according to group size, the time of the season, the age of the skiers, the time-duration of the liftpass (in days), and the resorts included.

Arrange Childcare

There are several good childcare options in resort, and you will understandably want to be choosy. Give us a call and we can offer the most up-to-date advice and information. Then call the childcare companies to make sure they're the right fit for your family. Babies, infants and youngsters are all catered for with a range of age-appropriate activities.

Find a local ski centre

If this is your first ski holiday, you might want to consider a few dry-slope ski lessons before your holiday begins. This is not essential at all, and dry-slope skiing is harder and certainly less fun than the real thing. But with a good instructor, some pre-holiday lessons can help you find your feet, grasp the fundamentals and get the most out of your first ski holiday.
